How we handle your information. Last updated May 2026.
We collect information you provide directly — your name, contact details, and professional background. For job seekers, that includes your resume and career history. For hiring organizations, it includes business details and the specifics of a search. We also use website analytics to measure aggregate traffic patterns.
We use your information to provide the services you’ve asked for. For candidates, that means identifying suitable roles and staying in touch about your career. For clients, it means advancing your search. We do not sell personal information. Ever.
Candidate details are shared with prospective employers only after we’ve discussed it with you and you’ve given explicit consent. Client information stays with the dedicated search team. Third-party vendors who handle email, file storage, scheduling, and applicant tracking access data under their own privacy commitments.
We keep information for as long as it’s useful and acceptable to you. Candidates can ask us to remove their file at any time. Clients can request deletion after an engagement is complete.
Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting info@hawthornerecruitment.com.
We use standard cookies to make the website work and to measure traffic; you can remove them through your browser settings. If we update this policy, the changes will appear on this page, with material changes highlighted.
