After more than 15 years in this work, I'm still chasing the same thing: the moment something shifts. You can feel it on both sides. A candidate's voice quickens mid-conversation and you swear you can hear them sit up a little taller. A client finds the person they couldn't find on their own and something unlocks, problems that felt structural turn out to have been personnel.
My clients are my candidates. My candidates are my clients. Literally. People I've placed come back when they're hiring. That only happens one way.
It's easier to help other people understand their motives than to sit with your own. I founded Hawthorne when I finally did. Turns out the medicine works.
