Privacy Policy

How we handle your information.

We take privacy seriously. Here is what that means in practice.

What we collect

When you reach out, we collect what you give us. Name, contact details, professional background, and anything else you choose to share. For candidates, this usually includes a resume and career history. For clients, business contact information and search-related details.

We also use standard website analytics to understand how the site is used. This is aggregate, not personal.

How we use it

To do the work you have engaged us for. For candidates, that means matching your background to opportunities, contacting you about roles, and keeping in touch through your career. For clients, advancing the searches we run on your behalf.

We do not sell personal information. Ever.

Who sees it

Candidate information is shared with prospective employers only after we have discussed it with you and you have agreed. Client information stays with the team working on your search.

We use trusted vendors for things like email, file storage, scheduling, and applicant tracking. They handle data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments.

How long we keep it

As long as it is useful and you are comfortable with us holding it. Candidates can ask us to remove their file at any time. Clients can request deletion at the end of an engagement.

Your rights

Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, you can ask to see what we have on you, correct it, or have it removed. Email info@hawthornerecruitment.com and we will respond promptly.

Cookies

The website uses standard cookies to function and to measure traffic. You can decline at any time through your browser settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page. Material changes will be flagged at the top.
